Memories for a lifetime at Disney’s Magic Kingdom.

Everything about Disney World is pure magic (minus waiting in line of course). The most magical park however, Magic Kingdom. From the boat ride over, to the most adored Main Street in the world, to being greeted by Pluto.. it all is magic. We got to see everything decorated for fall and Halloween which was even more appealing to the eye.

For a little girl you can’t wait to give Minnie Mouse a kiss or curtsy alongside your favorite Disney princess. For a little boy a silly dance with Goofy or letting out an “argh” with Captain Jack Sparrow are most likely on the lengthy to do list for the trip around the park. Mapping out the park ahead of time is probably the smartest thing to do but even as an adult once your feet walk through the gates to the happiest place around the excitement overtakes every plan you thought you had.

Walking into the park we were immediately rushing over to high five Pluto and give him some love! Mickey is the most beloved character but also the hardest to nail down a spot to see. When we arrived there was a day parade just beginning which he was on so the likeliness of seeing him again wasn’t the best. Vey got to see Mickey, Minnie, Goofy, Daisy and Donald all stand high above dancing on their floats as some other favorite characters from Zootopia and Toy Story danced in the street playing our favorite Disney songs!

With the little one being just 3 years old we knew we weren’t going to need to hit too many rides for her but us adults also enjoy some of the park favorites and were just dying to ride!

My top 3 favorite rides for adults;

  • Splash Mountain
  • The Haunted Mansion
  • Thunder Mountain

My top 3 favorite rides for toddlers;

  • Dumbos flight
  • It’s a Small World
  • Mickeys Philarmagic

Top favorite ride for the whole family;

  • The Jungle Cruise

While the whole park brings you joy just walking around and admiring the perfectly designed and decorated themed areas of the park is my favorite. Whether walking through the shoppes on Main Street or living your inner pirate in Adventureland or hugging Minnie Mouse in Fantasyland… you’re smiling and taking in all of the Magic.

An extra special highlight of our trip to Disney World was Veys big debut in the Enchanted Tales with Belle show. V is by far a a little girl with a giant love for Belle. At time she spins around our living room singing “tale as old as time” in her yellow ball gown her face tells it all. While jumping in line for the ride if you will, I asked the attendant if all the children would get to meet Belle. I knew that as soon as V seen her she would probably run straight across the floor to hug her. She responded “only those chosen to take part in the story will meet and take a photo with Belle”. With all of the children standing in a line and my quiet little 3 year old barely saying “boo” she was given a magical plate from Belles kitchen and a part in the story. I couldn’t believe the willingness to follow the line of children and her fearless little self standing in front of a room of strangers ready to go. I was so proud of her. It was a giant moment for myself as a mother to see my little peanut following direction and having the time of her life. When belle walked out, her face again, told all. At the end of the story she was able to not just meet Belle but to give her a big squeeze and let out the cutest smile I’ve ever seen. She was in awe. Her favorite princess and her were in the middle of the room sharing in a hug. That moment will live with me for the rest of my life, don’t worry we videoed it too! What a magical moment.

Snacking plays a big part in the parks so popcorn was a must but with the heat I couldn’t help but to grab an Italian Ice. Although we caught the park on a busy day with Halloween festivities at night and didn’t know it closed early for these events, we still checked off the things we wanted to do.

Also, my big tip – if you haven’t done yet and are planning a trip soon to WDW, download the app! It acts as an album for all of your photos around the park that employees of WDW take. You can see wait times, choose your fast pass rides and find out where all of the characters, food and restrooms are. LIFESAVER!

Next year, I’ll have our whole day mapped out with things we wish to try to do and see and most likely plan to spend a full day at the park and not just a half of a day. There will most certainly be a Mickey shaped icecream in store that won’t melt in a minute, a new princess dress for my babe and this time maybe mommy won’t forget the special ears we bought back at the house (#momfail). At the end of the day I have never seen my child smile more. As for me, Disney reminds me to never stop dreaming! Thank you Disney! We will be back! #hosted

    I love this! I’ve been to Disney World a few times but never in the fall. It was very cool to see all the fall decorations 🙂
