5 Things I’m Thankful for.

‘Tis the month of being thankful for any and all things special to us. Some people are thankful for possessions, most are thankful for their family and loved ones, some for significant moments or times in their lives.

This year I’m going to do a list of things I’m thankful for and hope that you’ll sit down and reflect on your life and what it is that is important to you. We are so very blessed to be given the chance to live life that I think each and every day we should find the reasons we are thankful, not just in the month of one of the greatest holidays ever!(gobble, gobble)

The Gift of Motherhood

It’s not always easy. In fact most of the time it’s pretty difficult but the fact that I was chosen to guide this tiny person through life and love her unconditionally couldn’t be more fulfilling.

The Togetherness of Family

In my family (our family now) we get together frequently. I am able to call on my aunt if I’m having a bad day to share company with. I’m able to get my godsons together with my daughter to build bonds. We celebrate our birthdays and holidays in a big group and we laugh while just enjoying the company of one another. Im grateful that I’ve been given a family that enjoys sharing their lives with me as I do with them.

Friendships that Mean the World

I’ve truly learned about friendship and what it means after having my daughter. You see who is there and who never was. I have a small group of friends that aren’t all friends with one another. A friend who lives states away that supports my every decision and dream. A friend that I can call at midnight if I’m having anxiety about the smallest occurrence. Friends that push me to be better and that give without expecting anything back. Friends that I have met through blogging that I’ve never actually met who talk to me when I’m having a bad day. I’ve truly become lucky and blessed in this department. I thought it meant having the most friends that would make me the happiest but the few that I have are the ones I couldn’t live without.

Strength

I have faced obstacles in my lifetime just like everyone else. I recently have had to adjust my lifestyle without notice to support a loved one. I’ve gone days without an inch of a break and nights with little to no sleep. I’ve pushed myself in ways that I didn’t know I could go to limits I didn’t know existed for myself, and conquered them. I have proven myself stronger than I ever knew I was and for that I cannot thank god enough.

The Ability to Grow & Become

I am grateful for the sole fact that I can do anything and everything I put my mind to. I was once a person who thought I didn’t have enough time in the world to do what I wanted to do or see what I wanted to see. I believed that I could only have one dream, one job, one path. I have found that I have the ability to grow everyday and become the best version of myself and do the things I’ve always wanted to do. I stopped feeling bad about what I haven’t done or things I’ve missed out on and started to work harder than ever to prove to myself that I can set goals and crush them. Life is full of endless possibility if we believe in ourselves.

I am ecstatic to share these 5 things with you because not only do I love to remind myself of how lucky I am but I love to remind others of the same thing! I hope everyone has a wonderful thanksgiving and I hope that you can find the good and be grateful for what you have been granted. If you desire to be different then I hope you understand you have the ability to change that.

It is such a treat to come across a blog that appreciates opportunities life brings instead of concentrating on the negatives of life. There are many of both experiences but it takes a person of vision to only dwell on the good. 🙂
