Summer Vacation in Maine.

Another year, another trip to our favorite place over and in the books.

We were not even sure this year we would have been able to get to Maine for our annual family vacation, but we did it. With travel bans earlier on in the summer and protocols and regulations being a bit too hard for us to meet we basically thought, no summer vacation this year. It would be our first year not going to the beach in 5 years of V being alive and my first year in 15 years that I wouldn’t go at all to the same place as always. It was a little disappointing but I was going to accept it.

A week later after we have been home and I’m finally getting up more pictures and a blog to share with all of the fun we had and some of the scrumptious Maine seafood plates that were my favorite.

Great news and to state the obvious, we went! We got to go, decided to go and stay a little shorter of a stay to make things easier but it was perfect.

Basically everything was open that we are use to and there was not much of a major change besides the masks. The lines we were use to standing in at our favorite restaurants were nowhere to be found and the crowded beach was wide open and quite peaceful. For the first time in my life that I can remember the Maine water was not freezing cold. We swam around, boogie boarded, found seashells, took walks and just dug and dug and dug in the sand. There was such a calm and relaxing vibe from this vacation that was unlike any other. It was different but it was perfect.

With all of this being said, I miss the beach already. V keeps asking when we are going back to “our new house” because she loved it so much. Until next year Old Orchard.

& AGAIN, Yes… This blog post took me over a week to get up because there are so many fun things I wanted to share I couldn’t get it all into one. Therefor I’m going to have an additional post with mainly photos of the second place we visit in Maine every year. Stay tuned for that.

OH AND … Mark my words, if we are able to and the weather is good.. we will get another beach day in!

Those little peace sign fingers!😊
