Spring is in the air, so are my allergies but let’s not start off on a bad foot..am I right!? No but for real, my allergies are no bueno. I’ll get to what I’m using to help ease them around the house at the end of this blog, so stay tuned.
The weather is shifty, could be New England, could just be Spring. I’ll blame it on New England. One day it’s sunny and 70, I’m wearing a maxi dress and flip flops, the next it’s 47 and I’m wearing Ugg’s and beanie. All’s I know is, my house feels clean, smells amazing and looks pretty darn cute.
Along with Spring weather comes Spring cleaning & that means clearing out all the corners of the house that possibly haven’t seen as much love in the winter months as they should have. Spring cleaning means opening those windows up and washing away all of the built up winter debris & allowing that fresh air I’m letting in to actually be fresh.
I’ve been binge buying organizers of all shapes and sizes. I’ve been tossing things out left and right that were taking up space or serving absolutely zero purpose. We have been just bringing a little extra light to this space we call home and it’s been fun. Welcoming Spring with fresh coats of paint on the walls that needed a little face lift and all just at the right time. It feels like Spring, it feels airy and I feel happy.
Along with cleaning the house comes a need for a different smell. In the Fall it’s pumpkin spice! In the winter it’s Christmas cookie! In the Spring I just want to smell like clean linen and fresh flowers. I never AND I MEAN NEVER, thought that I’d be on my blog, preaching about oils, but here I am. Okay, maybe not full blown preaching but wow, I’m a fan. I’ve been using oils to make my house smell fresh but also for the additional health benefits. I suffer from seasonal allergies and I’ve found that diffusing oils helps tremendously!
