Our Stay at Comfort Inn & Suites Newark International Airport ✌🏻 ✈️

I can’t believe it’s been a month since our last adventure! We are due for some fun and travel

Last month her April break we took a little road trip just over 3 hours from our home in MA to New Jersey. We love the ride through the city most of all as we get to gaze out at all of the buildings. We left pretty early in the morning to avoid traffic and make it in time for lunch to our destination, because hi it all revolves around food!

Our destination for the mini getaway was American Dream in East Rutherford New Jersey (there will be a blog to follow but there’s a video on my Instagram feed). We headed right to our destination to eat and have some fun!

By the end of the exhilarating day, we had two tired children on our hands! It was only a short 10 minute ride from American Dream to our hotel. We stayed at one of Choice Hotels properties at the Comfort Inn & Suites Newark Liberty International Airport location! Our stay was great!

When we first arrived we entered the gated facility which immediately comforts a traveling mama! We had an easy check in with the friendly employee at the front desk! Valet was super prompt and we never had to wait for our car the whole time we stayed.

Upon entering the hotel you got a mix of city vibe with comfort vibe. I guess it’s all in the name. Just like most city hotels the lobby was small but clean and brand new. A little space off of the lobby with fresh lemon water and coffee, some seats and a tv to sit while waiting for guests, check in, or valet.

We took the elevator up to the 8th floor! The halls smelled so clean and new! The kids enjoyed skipping full speed to our room right at the end. Our room was spacious, clean & again can’t stress it enough brand new. There was a little hallway with a chair and giant mirror for fit checks & family selfies! A place to leave shoes out of the way which was cute. A spacious bathroom with a giant shower, yes water pressure was great! It matters people, it does! Towels, hair dryer the whole 9! We got a double bed room but also brought the pack & play and there was beyond ample space for all to sleep. The beds were SO COMFY! Slept like a baby and we didn’t have any noise complaints. Our room had views of the airport and Manhattan which my oldest loved, she’s a big New York tourist girly for sure!

Best of all, the restaurant on the ninth floor. Our first night we enjoyed dinner while watching the planes land at the local airport and watched the sunset over the beautiful Manhattan New York skyline! After a long day of car travel & fun at American Dream it was the perfect way to end the first day! The waiter/bartender was so friendly and recommended me a chicken Caesar salad which was so good! The kids had chicken and fries and Tony a burger. We all were super happy with the food and most of all the staff and service!

In the morning we headed back up to the ninth for a giant breakfast buffet, it was included. Muffins, bagels, eggs, sausage, homers, cereal, coffee, juices, milks for the kids & our favorite fresh waffles!

Although there was nothing really in walking distance for us from the hotel and was in more of a city/industrial area but the location was great for our destination! It was only 10 minutes from American Dream! We also visited Liberty State Park which was close by as well, the kids loved it! Let’s see if I can a blog for that now too!
