In between wanting fall and never wanting summer to end.

The end of summer is always so bittersweet. I love the transition between the two where the fall night and fall mornings exist but during the day I also get to swim and soak up the sun. I don’t understand why here in New England winters must exist. If summer and fall could just alternate or somehow be combined I’d be one happy camper. Perhaps I should relocate, wishful thinking, ha!

The end of August always starts to become by favorite time of the year. The days are super summery and you can go swimming or go to the beach one day and the next to can head to the playground comfortably. In the morning you can wear comfy pajamas and lounge while drinking your coffee and not freeze nor sweat. At night you can sit outside and enjoy watching taking a walk around the block in the right temps. It’s like the two best seasons wrapped into one and I never want it to end.

I’m a big fan of fall and a bigger fan of summer. Can’t we just get rid of the rest? I’m the girl who probably takes photos of the first snow fall and loves Christmas but dreads the feeling of my toes going numb while walking in and out of work. Although watching Christmas movies and drinking hot coa coa are fun, Id be happy if we could maybe cram winter all into a week or two.

I want to live on the beach but trick or treat with the foliage surrounding my house filled with pumpkin spice aroma. I want to soak up the sun but snuggle up in a fleece blanket at night with the windows open.

I love to sweat in a bathing suit while heating the waves crash but I love waiting in line at Dunkin’ Donuts drive-thru with a hoodie and leggings on waiting for my latte. My two favorite holidays are Thanksgiving and the Fourth of July (okay, okay my birthday too but I mean National holidays). Cookouts with burgers and potato salad or a turkey with gravy and all of the sides!

Goodness gracious I need to find me a place to live where only these two seasons occur! Any ideas?

Same! Fall is nice and breezy and all, but I also love summer the most. Beachy/sunny set of mind and also easier to get out of the house.

You crack me up! Your perspective is refeshing for me, living in sweaty Southern California. I’d love a little less summer and a little more winter myself 😝

You described it to a tee, girl! Fall and summer are my two favorites and if only the cold could be crammed into a couple of weeks that would be great!! I do love snow on the ground…but not to be out in it.

I’m totally agreeing with the snow thing as well. I like to see it maybe once or twice but I can definitely go without it! Glad we are on the same page.
